Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, fellow bloggers! I am happy to report that I finally got my scrap on this past Friday evening when I attended my very first Stampin' Up gathering. I had been wanting to place an order with SU for quite a while now, and it seemed to be the perfect time to get some goodies and meet new people. We made a couple very quick and easy cards. This first one is a preview to SU's new stamping kit. The card comes already die-cut for you, so all you have to do is pop out the petals and you get this great three-dimensional card.

I was very excited to make this next card because so rarely am I prepared for a holiday this far in advance! I'm usually making birthday cards the morning of the person's birthday. I'm trying to get better at not procrastinating so much. I was very pleased with the colors and patterned paper that we used to make this Father's Day card. It's so "manly," but still very much a creative card.

On a side note, I snapped a few pictures of the flowers that are in bloom in my garden. I love walking around outside and just enjoying the sun and the fresh air. The bright colors are always an inspiration to me as well.

Just look at how gorgeous this foxglove is! It looks like it's spilling out those little "Skittles" that us scrappers are so fond of right now. Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and don't forget to take some time to smell the flowers :)

Those cards are something special!! I love the amazing variety of themes & techniques you use. Great work Sam!

Great photo's...I can't believe they grow in your garden....I don't have green fingers at all...hence our yard is trees, grass, gravel, succulents & cacti. Easy-peasy to look after.

I can't wait to use that first card and am hoping that my SU! club will be utilizing it. It's part of the "Fresh" promotion, right?

The flowers are so beautiful and that pink flower sure does look like it is spilling over with Skittles. :) Thanks for posting your cards - they look great! I so need the inspiration for Father's Day and I think I found it. :)

Those are great cards. I have yet to see any Stamping Up stuff, in person. I love that you see scrappy stuff in NSBR things. I do that all the time! The other day, Laura and I saw the perfect limo- Hummer, streched, pink, bling in between the windows, and flourishes on the windows. We joke about taking it to the next CKC-it is a scrappy limo!
