Are you brave enough??

Well, it's officially a SCORCHER over here. The fact that the a/c went out isn't helping matters either. The repair man couldn't come today, so here I sit in a house that's about 90F. I keep telling myself that it's nice and cool in here, but somehow that's not working too well. You can imagine that the heat hasn't helped my scrapping motivation factor. So, instead of bringing something new to you, I thought I'd share something old. The following layout is the very first "real" page I ever created back in 2001. I remember I went to a free class at my local library to see what all the hub-ub was about. I've been hooked ever since.

Are you brave enough to share your first layout with me (and the rest of the world)? Come on...I dare ya!!

The journaling is great and I could feel a chill looking at the gorgeous photos. Hopefully the "cold" in the photos translates to coolness in your house super soon! :)

My first LO - it really wasn't a LO but more like a guest page sign-in for a BBQ I had last summer. I'll send it to you - I'm glad to say that I've come a long way since then. LOL I should get back to making LOs but dang, cards are just so addictive and quicker to do. :)

Lots of journaling for a first page. Cool! Mine looks VERY similar with less journaling and a birthday theme. It took me a while to shake the CM look to my scrapbooking.

What a great idea....I post mine. I love how yours had so much journaling...mine had almost nothing :o) Hope you get the aircon fixed ASAP!

Ahhhh, that makes me feel a little cooler. Although it's only 89-91 degrees over here when I drive into town I can't stand it, it's about 5-7 degrees more. Ugh. Take care and keep creating! Hopefully I'll get some done tonight.

My first looks alot like yours... similar style and paper at an angle. If I get time I will post it. I LOVE mt. rose! My dad lives very close to there.

Hi Samantha,
I finally got around to making your card holder and it turned out so great! I am using it to house some bride and groom thank you notes. I had planned on entering the thank you's in Papertreys GSS contest... would it be ok with you if I also entered the holder? I wanted to make sure before doing so, not sure what the protocol is when you are using someone else's idea. thanks! :)
