I've been blurfing (blog surfing) a lot of jewelry blogs lately, and I've come across a general Wednesday theme called "Bead Table Wednesday."
The idea behind BTW is fairly self-explanatory: show the beads you have on your craft table that you are currently playing with. I thought it would be fun to do a BTW every so often. Perhaps it will motivate me to get to beading!
This past weekend I was able to get out of the house for a little while to go to a first annual handcraft fair in a neighboring city. While I wasn't too impressed with the festival, I was able to visit the town's local bead shop for the first time. I was in heaven. Seriously. My heaven would be bedazzled in Swarovski crystals with beads dripping from the ceiling. Sigh.

Don't you just feel like beading? Look at all those lovelies! And check out the antique letterpress cabinets in the picture below. All those drawers are filled with beads! It took me a little while to go through all of them.

As if that wasn't enough, this particular jewelry store is owned and operated by a very special lady. Her polymer clay work is world-renowned! Here's just a sample of what she does:

Gorgeous, right?! And if that wasn't the be-all-end-all, I got to meet her, too! She's just the sweetest thing, and I look forward to taking some classes with her in the future. Definitely check out her website
here.
Of course I ended up bringing a few treasures home with me. I bought these cute polymer clay stud earrings. They'll match with everything I wear!

I also came home with some beautiful crazy lace agate in a vibrant pink, a matching mineral pendant and some resin in metal flowers.

And that's what on my bead table today! Hopefully, the inspiration fairy will come bonk me on the head and give me some mojo!
