Five years ago today, I married the most wonderful and the most handsome man I know. After six years of courtship, it was about time, too! We got married in Las Vegas with my mom, dad, and two girlfriends in attendance. Due to imminent orders for Travis to report back to active duty, I only had about two weeks to plan and prepare, and luckily, everything went very smoothly. My mom found a seamstress to make my dress. All I had to do was pick out a pattern. I absolutely love the way it turned out. We ordered flowers for everyone in the Spring-time color pallette that I had long wanted. It was truly one of the most memorable days of my life! I'd like to share some pictures of our wedding day along with our reception which we held in August for family and friends. Enjoy!
Man and wife, at last!

Right after the ceremony. I love that water fountain in the background. I remember that the sun was so harsh that day which is why I'm squinting so badly!

Here's the professional picture taken inside the wedding chapel. (Sorry it's a bit grainy - it's a scan, but I wanted to show you my bouquet.)

I loved my bouquet so much that my parents had it permanently preserved in this air-tight frame for me as one of my wedding gifts.

We had our wedding reception in August so that our family and friends could celebrate with us. It was like having two weddings! This picture is of my family.

Dang that cake was good!!

Everyone has to get down and boogy at a reception! That's one of my bride's maids on the left, and my sister-in-law on the right. I'm in the middle, of course.

My most treasured picture of them all, my grandparents. My grandma passed away last year, and I miss her everyday. My grandpa suffers from Alzheimers now. I'm so glad they were able to attend my reception.

Finally, here's the anniversary card I made for Travis. I slipped it in his brief case so he would be surprised at work.

For this card, I used a Rubber Soul notecard base and paper from the BG Two Scoops 6x6 paper pad. I also used the new Fiskars scallop punch for the first time! I love it! If you don't have one already, go to the
AMR store and order yourself one. You won't regret it!
I'm also very excited about the stamps I used on this card. First of all, I got the set on my paper chase a few weeks back, and I've been itching to use them. Second, they're just so dang cute! How on earth I waited this long to make a card with them is beyond me. Lastly, and most importantly, the set has a sentiment that my hubby and I say to each other all the time - I love you bunches and bunches - and when I saw that particular stamp, I knew I had to have the set! BTW, this stamp set is by a company called
Darice's Heart and Home. Thanks for sharing in my excitement today! Have a happy Monday!

As to your question about palette inks.. I have been ordering them from papertrey. At first i was buying the big pads but now I have started to buy the cubes instead. No one around here carries the palette inks..not even my local stamp store.

On the post timings, first make sure you have blogger time set to your real time by going to Settings/Formatting. There you can set your time to GMT -4 hrs, etc. You also have the ability to manually change the time of your posts. When you're getting ready to post, look in lower left corner for Post Options, and there's a box for you to edit the date & time of your post. That's handy if you need to keep a post at the top of your blog for a while, like when you're doing contests or something like that. Hope that helps! Miss you!
Congrats Sam!! Such beautiful photos of you and your family!
BTW...I checked out the video you suggested I look at-the Moose. I just cracked up. I was so shocked when they put the little boy on it's back!! In bed and in the house, gee, my hubby would say that I would probably do the same thing if I had one!! That was a hoot, thanks!
