Seven more random facts about little 'ol me

My friend, Joscie, recently tagged me, so here it goes:

  1. I just finished making a batch of Christmas cards to send out to a squad of Marines stationed in the Gulf. This project was near and dear to my heart since Travis did a tour over there as well. I encourage all of you to send some cards, if not holiday ones, then simple "Thank You" cards throughout the new year. Our service men and women need our continued support!!
  2. I am thoroughly obesessed with buying beads. I purchase them from all over the place - the net, my FOUR local beading stores (one of which I teach at), JoAnn's, Michael's, gem shows...I love my beads!
  3. I haven't made a scrap page in about two months. It's so sad! I've been making so many Christmas cards lately that I just haven't had time. Plus, I was preparing for the craft fair during the months of September, October, and November. It's time to get back into the groove (and post some completed projects here)!!
  4. I loved calculus in college. I had the most awesome professor. She was so great, that I took a whole year of calculus and loved every minute of it. (Yup, got an "A" each semester!)
  5. I simply cannot stand a mess. My house is always clean and organized, and it must be that way when I head out the door. With 8 animals in here, I must keep in clean and tidy. I'm even obsessive about my scrap space. It's always nice and clean, even when I'm being crafty! When I finish one project, I clean up, and then go onto the next one. It's just who I am!!
  6. I have very, very dry hands right now. They're so dry, that my thumbs cracked. Every night, I rub corn huskers lotion on them and dip them into my parafin wax machine. It feels so good! When they're done soaking, they're nice and soft and ready to create!
  7. I had a high school sweet heart from my sophomore year in hs all the way through my first year in college. We were great friends all through my freshman year in hs, and it just turned into something more one day. I was lucky enough to go to all of my school functions and proms with him. Then, one day quite by accident, I met Travis, and the rest they say is history!

There you have it! If you want to play along, then TAG...You're IT!!

It is so hard to scrap at Christmas time with all the cards and gift making and stuff. But can't wait to see some new stuff from you. I admire you for sending those cards to the troops. That is amazing. While I didn't do Christmas cards, you did give me a great idea of thank you cards throughout the year. Might have to get some friends in on that one.

OK, this is just so weird. I took a calculus class in community college, just for fun!!! I already had all my math credits completed in high school but, I was bored!!! Thank goodness I'm not the only math lover!!!
Oh, and try Working Hands for you cracked hands. My mom and brother get cracked hands really badly during the winter months and this stuff works!! (And, it was made by a gal from OSU! Go Beavs!!)

Hiya Sam! I'll have to think on 7 random facts about me and send them to ya. Someday, maybe I'll have a blog of my own.

What a great idea to send cards overseas to Marines. I would love to make and send thank you notes to soldiers. How would I go about getting addresses or specific folks to write to? I'll send you a PM too but this is a great idea and anything we can do to support our troops, I'm willing to do.

Again, you're awesome! ;)
