My craft fair was a total bust in terms of finances. I barely recovered the cost of my booth and the order of clear plastic baggies I put all my products into. I think the weather played a huge roll in keeping people away from the show. We got our first snow fall of the year on Saturday, and it was a doozy. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the snow fall while the carrolers sang Christmas songs. It was truly a Christmas wonderland! Then it poured buckets on Sunday. Oh well.
What I lacked in money, I definitely made-up for in fun! I met the most amazing crafters at the show. I loved walking around the space and looking at everyone's creations. I was able to trade my product for other fun stuff. I am now the proud owner of a beautiful wool hat, a cat print, a crocheted barret, a pair of earrings, a customized button bracelet (being made as we speak), a mirror with a crocheted cover, a flower arrangement, Christmas tree ornaments, and an apron. I think I made out like a bandit!
Here are a few pics from the weekend:

I figure since I have lots of product left over, I'm done with my Christmas shopping! My friends and family are getting lots of hand made stuff this year :)
I hope everyone is having a fabulous week!!

Wowza, that looks like a fun booth to browse through! Darn that weather for keeping people away. Looks like you had a fun time either way.
Hello there good to see you are back. I am sorry the show didn't go as well as you had hoped. I love that you traded your crafts for things you wanted.....very smart! haha!
Your booth certainly looked full & colourful.....the result of hours of creating, WOW!
Glad you had fun tho'!
At least your friends and family will get some cool stuff. I went to Tuesday morning to look for that clock and found one but I got home and it had no hands! I was so sad. I will be looking for another TM.
That is one HUGE booth to fill! I think you DID make out like a bandit, you should take pics and share with us! Take care. Misty
It's so good to see that you can take a positive spin on things that didn't turn out quite as planned. What a great booth!
look at that....awesome. Sorry it didn't go better but maybe next time. Love the pics, you had fun and you have your Christmas shopping done. I think handmade gifts are awesome.
I wanted to see those pictures BIGGER...your booth looks awesome. Too bad about the sales. I wish you better next time. Maybe there is a shop in town that would carry your crafts (like one that sells Vera Bradley handbags?)??
I'd love to see the pictures of the things you got, the wool hat, on YOU...
Sam - wow, your booth looked awesome! And glad you had fun even though the weather didn't cooperate.
You have the cutest things! I bet your family and friends will love them. Glad you had fun, at least!
