Tis the season!

I love this time of year! After a long and hot summer with triple digit heat, I'm ready for the cool temperatures of fall. I'm ready to open up the house and let the crisp breeze flow through all the rooms. The other day as I was opening up the window, I noticed something that I could swear was not there the day before - changing leaves on my plum tree. I was so excited that I had to take a picture and share it with you.

Yup, there's no denying it now. Fall is certainly here. I should have taken the hint from my local JoAnns as I browsed their fall decor collection a few weeks ago. They have the cutest things! I wanted to buy it all up and take it home, but it wasn't on sale just yet. However, I got lucky when I went to JoAnns again yesterday with my friend and found that most all of their decor is 60% off! I picked up this absolutely adorable door hanger for $8! They only had a couple left, so I grabbed him and took him home.

When I get a chance, I'm going to hang him on the outside of my craft room door. I would put him outside on the front door, but with our crazy wind storms, I'd rather not take the chance of him flying away one day. That would make me sad.

Now, onto something crafty! Since we're talking about fall, and I already showed you the cutest scare crow door hanging, how about a scare crow card? This card is a simple 3x3 that I will be having my guests make at my Stampin' Up workshop in November.

Supplies: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, and Whisper White cardstock; Chocolate Chip 1/4" ribbon; Sanded background stamp; Happy Blessings stamp set; Watercolor Wonder Crayons and blender pens.

Lastly, I have added an e-mail subscription option powered by FeedBlitz. If you would like to receive my blog posts in your inbox, simply enter your e-mail address in the FeedBlitz box at the right side of my blog, and you'll automatically be subscribed! How cool is that?

A fun little Halloween card

Hello, everyone! What a productive weekend I had! First, Travis installed some fabulous shelves in my craft room. They now house my growing Stampin' Up collection as well as my projects. We also hung wire in the room on two walls so that I could display my cards more efficiently. It looks very festive in here!

I was also able to get a lot of stuff done for my upcoming SU workshop as well which will be held on November 8th. I was so excited to create the make-and-take proto-types and get all the supplies ready and bagged. I'll be sharing those projects with you this week. Today, I have a very quick 3x3 Halloween card to share with you. I used the Haunting Halloween stamp set and the Earth Elements Watercolor Wonder Crayons and blender pens to color in the image. The cardstock is Old Olive, Pumkin Pie, and Whisper White.

In case you're interested, I edited my last post to include the supply list for the Christmas card. I hope you have a fabulous day, and I'll blog at you tomorrow!

Welcome Christmas into your Heart

Woo-hoo! It's Friday, and I've been stamping my heart out all day long! Now that's what I call a perfectly relaxing day. I'll be sharing the projects I made today with you next week, so be sure to stop by :)

Today I have a very simple but elegant card to share with all of you. If you plan on mass-producing your holiday cards this year, I think this card might be the way to go. It has everything on it - bling, ribbon, designer paper, a scallop border, and stamps of course!

I'm going to edit in the supplies later because I'm seriously pooped right now and can't think straight.

Have a great weekend, and I'll see you all on Monday!

ETA Supply List: Baja Breeze & Kiwi Kiss cardstock and ink pads, Kiwi Kiss ribbon, Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads, Heard from the Heart stamp set, and stamps and paper from the Holiday Happenings Bundle (a Level 3 hostess gift)

Cutsie Spiders

Halloween is just around the corner. Are you ready yet? Do the kids have their costumes? I have yet to make Sedona's Halloween costume. I'm going to make her a cape and get some sort of little hat for her. I think she'll make the cutest little goblin, don't you think?

If you're throwing a Halloween party or just want to give out some really adorable treats, check out this little spider. He's easy-peasy to make, and best of all, he's hiding a little chocolate treat inside.

This little spider is a punch project, and other than the paper and the candy, all you need are a few SU punches: the Scallop Punch, the Photo Corners Punch, the 1/2" Circle Punch, and the 1/4" Circle Punch. Use the Signo White Gel Pen to add a little smile, and you're all done! This little spider makes for a very quick assembly-line activity that you can even do with your kids! Now if only Sedona had opposable thumbs...

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Holiday Bag

I {heart} presents! Who doesn't, right? Although I love receiving gifts, I really enjoy giving gifts especially when I've gone the extra mile to decorate them nicely. People always seem to appreciate that little extra pizazz. With that in mind, here's a fun holiday treat bag that you can fill up with all sorts of goodies. (Thanks, Ana, for the idea!)

This bag is so easy to decorate. All you need to do is fold a piece of cardstock in half to go over the top of the bag. Then use Stampin' Up's Word Window punch to create the slit at the fold of the cardstock so that the handles of the bag slide right through it. Use the new Scallop Edge SU punch to make the adorable scallop edge and punch it up (pardon the pun) by using the 1/16" circle handheld punch to create the small holes in each of the scallops. Don't forget to use some Versamark ink to decorate the cardstock and give it a watermarked appearance. As for the strip along the front, simply adhere a red piece of stamped cardstock to a white piece of cardstock and attatch. The cute scallop circle is easy to achieve with the SU Scallop Circle punch and the 1-3/8" Circle punch. The stamp is from the Hostess Level 2 set, Deer Friends, but you can easily substitue the stamp with any one of your holiday favorites!

I hope this fun and fast project has inspired you to get in the holiday crafting spirit! More to come tomorrow!

Let's get ready for the holidays!

I had an ephiphany this weekend. Okay, it was more like a reality check. The holidays are just around the corner! I can't even believe we're half way through October already. Seriously, where does the time go?

With cooler weather blowing through lately, this fun votive decoration is the perfect little accent piece to warm up your home. With inspiration from my friend and fellow SU demo, Ana, I made the pumpkin using the small and large oval punches from Stampin' Up. I then inked the edges using some Chocolate Chip ink. The little stem is actually a piece of leather cording. The votive holder is wrapped in a strip of Very Vanilla paper and stamped with the lovely Watercolor Vine wheel. Wrap some raffia around the votive holder and plop a pumpkin scented votive inside and viola! Instant home decor that's not only attractive, but it's fun and easy to make.

Speaking of quick and easy projects, be sure to check out one of my favorite scrapper's, Anne Marie. She's doing a "Christmas Gifts Roundup" where she's featuring holiday projects and directions on her blog. She rocks! As for me, I'll be back tomorrow with yet another holiday idea for you. Have a scrappy day!

Happy Columbus Day

Good morning, bloggers! I hope your week is starting off well. I'm doing something I never do - blog in bed! Yup, it's 2:30 am, and I can't seem to fall asleep despite taking some pain pills for my shoulder. Darn thing is acting up something fierce. At least I'm nice and cozy. It's been getting down into the low 30s here at night. Fall has certainly arrived.

Here's a project I made a couple of weeks ago. It's a fun mini album stamped with the Thoroughly Thankful SU stamp set. The inside of the album is just a single piece of 8.5x11 card stock scored and cut in order to fold up neatly inside the cover.

Here's the inside of the album:

You know what? I think I'm getting sleepy! I better take advantage of that feeling. Have a great day, and I'll be back tomorrow :)

Thank you for your friendship

Woo-hoo! It's Friday. The sun is shinning and the air is crisp. Today is my kind of day. It's the perfect day to tell all of you, my blog readers, how thankful I am that you stop by and take a peek at my projects. This card is for you:

This weekend is jam-packed with activities for me and my hubby. I'll be back next week to share some more fun projects! I'm thinking I need to get going on my Christmas cards. Stay tuned and have a fabulous weekend!

So Glad We're Friends

Howdy! Happy Thursday :) The weekend is fast approaching, and with Columbus Day on Monday, that means most of us have a nice long three-day weekend to look forward to. I don't know about you, but I'm planning on doing a little relaxing, a little stamping, and a little scrapping!

I do have a card to share with you today. It's a fun and simple friendship card that will certainly brighten anyone's day. All products are Stampin' Up.

Have you noticed a trend lately in my product usage? Scroll down a bit and you'll see that most everything I've posted in the last few weeks have used Stampin' Up products. Why, you might ask? Well, I decided to take the plunge and become a SU demonstrator! I'm going to slowly build my stash using my demo discount, and I hope to begin holding regular workshops sometime early next year. HOWEVER, you can totally order through me if you want to no matter where you live, day or night, 365 days a year! That's right! SU has recently introduced on-line ordering and direct shipping right to your door! How cool is that?! All you need to do is go to my SU website (click HERE to visit), click on Stampin' Up Products, and Order Now. It's that simple! As most of you know, I've been stamping for quite a while, and I love all sorts of different stamps from different companies (and don't think for one second that I'm going to abandon my clear-stamp addiction!). I had never tried SU until this past summer, and I fell in love all their products (especially their paper...yum!), and now I can't get enough of them! If you haven't tried SU stamps or paper, I highly encourage you to do so. You'll want to order every set and every color paper!

I'll be back tomorrow with another fun card. Have a great day!

Yikes!

Hi, everyone! Wow - things have been busy, busy on my end. I can't even believe it's been over a week since I last updated my blog especially since I told you I had tons of stuff to share! Luckily, I have lots of projects to show you, so let's get started!

First, I have some fun little Halloween treat bags and a witch's hat that's wrapped around a mini Reeses Peanut Butter cup. The little box is actually made using the new Scallop Envelope Bigz Die that's exclusive to Stampin' Up. The little candy bag is made out of one kraft colored envelope and distressed with some black ink, and the witch's hat is simply a scallop circle with a half circle piece of patterned paper wrapped around the candy.

Next is a cute scare crow embellished with some punches and stamps. He'd be perfect as a little table treat for your Thanksgiving guests!

I'm going to try my best to be back tomorrow with some cards that I've made over the past week. I hope you're all doing well! Ciao!
