Holiday Bag

I {heart} presents! Who doesn't, right? Although I love receiving gifts, I really enjoy giving gifts especially when I've gone the extra mile to decorate them nicely. People always seem to appreciate that little extra pizazz. With that in mind, here's a fun holiday treat bag that you can fill up with all sorts of goodies. (Thanks, Ana, for the idea!)

This bag is so easy to decorate. All you need to do is fold a piece of cardstock in half to go over the top of the bag. Then use Stampin' Up's Word Window punch to create the slit at the fold of the cardstock so that the handles of the bag slide right through it. Use the new Scallop Edge SU punch to make the adorable scallop edge and punch it up (pardon the pun) by using the 1/16" circle handheld punch to create the small holes in each of the scallops. Don't forget to use some Versamark ink to decorate the cardstock and give it a watermarked appearance. As for the strip along the front, simply adhere a red piece of stamped cardstock to a white piece of cardstock and attatch. The cute scallop circle is easy to achieve with the SU Scallop Circle punch and the 1-3/8" Circle punch. The stamp is from the Hostess Level 2 set, Deer Friends, but you can easily substitue the stamp with any one of your holiday favorites!

I hope this fun and fast project has inspired you to get in the holiday crafting spirit! More to come tomorrow!

lovely!!! what a great idea for a workshop. *hint, hint* :) You're ahead of me in the "other holiday" items dept - this is a fantastic idea and one that I plan to use. Now the word window punch is back on the list. It's probably getting dizzy from all the times I've put it on and taken it off my wish list. :)

Are you doing another Christmas Bazaar or craft fair this year? Cute bag! I'm thinking about making calendars this year for gifts. I've done that in the past and added photos and family LOVE that.
