A birthday card for a little boy
Here's the birthday boy playing with his Spongebob cake toys.
I had a really great visit with my family. It was the first time meeting my cousin-in-law, his lovely daughter, and my cute little two-year old cousin. Here we are all for the obligatory group shot:
And here's my cousin and I together. I had such a great time with this wonderful girl. She's just a doll:
I hope everyone's week started off well! I have lots of work to get done, but I'll be back soon with a fun Disney card I made the other day. Until then, have fun being creative!

Technical Difficulties
Wish me luck with my computer, and hopefully I'll be back soon! I'll leave you with an oldie, but a goodie. Here I am at a bird-banding session holding a bushtit that we caught (this one's for you Aunt B!). Pretty nifty, eh?

Congratulations
Last night, or rather at some un-Godly early morning hour, I decided to make my friend a card. She's getting married in June, and I haven't seen her in many years. I'm looking forward to celebrating her special day this summer. For now, I sent her a Congratulations card. I'm a bit peeved since I wrote the sentiment myself and apparently forgot to cross that second "t." Oh well. It's the thought that counts, right?
I seem to be on a roll making cards, so hopefully I'll have something to share with you all tomorrow. It's time for my run, so off I go!

Blooming with Love
I used the Watercolor Wonder Crayons with a blending pen to color and shade the flowers and the wheel barrel. I added some interest using the Spiral Punch and an eyelet for the center of the wheel which was easily set using my Crop-a-dile. The rest was just a matter of cutting and pasting!Supplies: Blooming with Love stamp set; Chocolate Chip, Whisper White & Baja Breeze cardstock; Chocolate Chip ribbon; Chocolate Chip stampin' pad; Staz-On stamp pad
Have a good night, everyone!

Is it still my birthday?

She also made me this lovely birthday card:
A couple of weeks ago, I won a really exciting prize over at the There She Goes blog. Every week, Jessica, owner of There She Goes Clear Stamps, does a Week In Review where she posts all the cards showcased throughout the week. You then have a chance to win one of those cards. When I entered the contest, she was giving away ALL of the cards shown that week, so I actually ended up winning 11 handmade cards from Jessica and her design team! Super cool, right? I've been slowly getting these cards in the mail which is like getting a little gift every day. Here are a few that I've received so far. This first one is by Jessica herself. In case you can't see the greeting, it says, "That's hotter'n a goat's butt in a pepper patch!" LOL!
This next one is by Joanne Grzelak (check out her BLOG for some awesome card ideas):
Finally, here's one made by Becky Carafa (here BLOG is great, too!):
I hope you enjoyed looking at all those beautiful cards!

More Organizational Tips + A Card
Today I have some more organizational tips to share with you. I bet all of you have an assortment of brads that you just don't know how to keep together. Well, I have the perfect solution for you! I have this great Cropper Hopper Embelishment Organizer Case that perfectly holds these Mini Box Embellishment Essentials. What I ended up doing was purchasing a whole bunch of mini boxes and organizing my brads that way. I poked a hole through the top of each one, inserted an example brad, then placed the rest of the brads inside the box. Now when I open up my embellishment box, I can see all of my brads! Plus, the case is small enough to fit in your crop bag and take with you to crops. How fun is that?!

My next tip is for organizing those fun Spellbinders Nestabilities dies. For quite a while, I kept them in their original plastic packaging, but that system became cumbersome as my collection grew and space became limited. So I decided to use some items I already had on hand to organize them. I had a huge roll of magnetic tape which I placed inside empty CD jewel cases. Since the nesties are made of metal, they easily stick to the magnetic strips. I labeled the outside of the cases using my handy-dandy label maker (LOVE that thing!) and I also put a label on the back of the case with the actual product number so that I wouldn't accidently buy the same set of dies twice. I then placed all the cases on my shelf, and presto! Instant organization.
Now onto some crafty projects! First of all, my Sunday was so packed with things to do that I didn't have time to complete my friend's challenge from yesterday. When I have time this week, I'll certainly do that. Sorry, Christy!I did, however, manage to finish up a card that I started on Saturday. I had so much fun making this card! It's so me.
Supplies: Cheap Talk stamp set; Whisper White, Pacific Point, YoYo Yellow cardstock; Good Morning Sunshine DSP; On Board So Tweet chipboard; Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, YoYo Yellow, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango stampin' pads and/or markers; Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circle; Googley eyeThat's it for me at the moment! I'll catch you all next time.

Wedding Card

The image of the wedding dress is not a stamp (*gasp*). It's actually an image from some patterned paper that I cut out and mounted to ivory cardstock for stability. For the inside, I used one of the stamp sets, Congratulations, from Stampin' Up's Sale-A-Bration catalog.

I don't have too much going on today. I'd like to make a get well card for my grandpa who has been feeling under the weather these past few days, so I hope to get crafty a little later.
On a side note, one of my friends who commented on my last post asked me to explain what Outdoor World is all about. Outdoor World is a BassPro Shop that sells everything but the lakes and the mountains! Seriously. If it's related to outdoor sports and recreation, you can bet you'll find it at this store. They have a huge store on the south side of Vegas that has several large aquariums with everything from bass to sting rays to sharks. Everywhere you look, you see stuffed animals with plaques and maps showing where each animal is from. It's beautifully decorated in the woodlands/country decor.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures! Have a happy day!
