Monday Randomness

Good morning, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing weekend. I spent most all of my time putting up holiday decorations and then cleaning up the mess I had made. *Almost* everything is in place now. We just need to get a tree and put some garland on the mantle of the fireplace.

I can't wait to get a live tree in here! While I was at Wal*Mart on Saturday, I stopped to look at the trees and ended up burying my nose in the fresh scent of pine. Gosh, that scent takes me back all the way to my childhood. Gotta love that.

I just have to share these beautiful roses that I received last Wednesday from my good friend, Q. She sent them to us as a thank you for having her here during her vacation. They're absolutely lovely, and they made a gorgeous centerpiece at Thanksgiving dinner.

Over the holiday, I finally finished the Thank You cards for the technicians at the vet hospital who helped me with Zoe. I had a hard time making these cards, but I'm happy that I did. Hopefully, I will be able to drop them off early this week.

Supplies: Rubber Hedgehog "Cocoa and Tango Kiss" stamp; Top Note Die; Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose, and Whisper White cardstock; Whisper White ribbon; Prismacolor pencils; Silver brads

I was browsing the Rubber Hedgehog site and found this wonderfully appropriate stamp. It made me feel better about my decision.

If you're an animal lover like me, you should definitely check out their site. They have a great selection of stamps that you just can't find anywhere else.

Have a great Monday, folks!

I love your decorations! I feel the same way about real trees but with Zachary's allergies, we can't have one. I do get the pine scented candles though and they are almost just as good! I am so sorry for your loss. I love the cards you made for the vet techs. I send my love to you! {{HUGS}}

Beautiful cards! Lucy looks so Christmasy (did I get her name right?). I better get cracking on my decorating here so I can get pics to share with you. The flowers look gorgeous - I especially love that last photo you took of the striped rose.

I love the card you made. It is perfect. And your decorations are great. I love the smell of pine too but am allergic to most scents so we went out and bought an artificial tree yesterday, a smaller around one. Our older tree is too big for our frontroom now... The only thing missing is the decorations but as soon as the GK's get home they'll take care of that....
How nice of ~Q~ to send those beautiful flowers to you. Now thats a scent I really miss. Not because of my allergies but because our dogs seem to like the taste of my rose bushes... LOL
Have a great week, Samantha....

Awwww... the ferret cards are amazing. Did the vet's office staff seem to appreciate them? If Mij's memorial is even half as lovely as that, I'll be beyond thrilled!
