I don't know about you, but with the economy going the way it is, everyone on my Christmas list is getting handmade items from me this year. If you're a family member or a friend, you know what you're getting now (sorry to spoil any surprises)! Handmade gifts and cards are not only economical, but they really do come from the heart. I look for bargains at places like the Target Dollar Spot or the 99 Cent Store that I can alter and really jazz up like the home decor project I did a few weeks back. I got those picture frames at the 99 Cent Store, and with a few stamps, I transformed them into lovely frames for the house. To see them again, click HERE.
In honor of finding bargain items and dressing them up, here's a pack of assorted sprinkles I found at Target for $2.50. All I did was add some patterned paper and a fun Santa stamp from the A Holly, Jolly Christmas Stampin' Up set, and viola! Instant Christmas stocking stuffer.
Supplies: Assorted Candy Sprinkles Pack from Target; Ski Slope Designer Series Paper; Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White cardstock; Scallop Edge Punch; A Holly, Jolly Christmas stamp set; Real Red Stampin' Pad
I also like to dress up the gift wrapping as well. I think the outside should be just as pretty at the inside, so I decorate my gift bags, too. I think gift bags are one of the easiest things to adorn because it doesn't take that much to make a plain-Jane brown bag spectacular!
Supplies: Brown gift bag from Michaels; Autumn Vine Designer Series Paper; Chocolate Chip Stampin' Pad, cardstock and 1/4" ribbon; More Mustard and Whisper White cardstock; Happy Blessings stamp set; Distress tool from Cutter Kit; Big Shot Die Cutting Machine; Top Note Bigz Die; Watercolor Wonder Crayons; Blender Pens
As a quick reminder, my wonderful friend is flying in tomorrow for a nice long visit, so over the course of the next week, I may post sporadically if I post at all. Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll be back with more stampin' goodness just as soon as I can!

I love the gift bag. I think I need those papers. :)
I hope you have a great visit with your friend!
Great projects! I love the sprinkles alteration. I'll have to check out Target for ideas for Christmas for my family. Love the way you dressed up the gift bag - I'm guilty of never dressing them up so I'll start doing that in the future. I think I "need" that scallop punch now. LOL
YAY!!! The day has finally arrived!!!
SPRINKLES? WHERE? WHERE??? Oh my goodness I need to dash out to Target right away and get some! What a great gift those would make with a box of ice cream cones or bowls! Cute as can be. I have quite a few ice cream lovers in my family.
Thanks!
Really cute stuff Sam. Love the scarecrow card. :)
