I also told you guys that I was working on a LO of Sedona. I'm still not finished, but here's a sneak peak.
Now, you're all going to think I'm neurotic, and maybe I am, but I bought another paper trimmer! I am just not going to be satisfied until I find THE one. So far, I've tried the Purple Cows 2-in-1 Paper Trimmer, and it was a bust. I sent it back to Joann.com. Then I bought the MM Precision Trimmer. I still have it and I do like it, but I feel like there has to be more out there. So, I bought the Carl Paper Trimmer at Staples. I really liked it, but I couldn't get a straight cut everytime, so back it went. I was at Costco a couple days ago and finally caved on buying the Fiskars rotary trimmer for $22.
I haven't had a chance to really craft with it, but so far I do like it. It yields straight cuts every time, but it needs to be broken in. The blade has to make a groove in the new cutting bar beneath it before it will slide smoothly, so I keep trying to condition it by just sliding it back and forth. I'm more than likely going to a crop tonight at my friend's church, so I may take it along to really test it out. I'll give a full review of all the paper trimmers I have tried out in a future post.
Does anyone have a paper trimmer that they are so in LOVE with that they wouldn't dare part with it? I feel like I'm on a quest for the holy grail! Help!!
Have a great weekend, folks.

Sounds like a nice weekend ahead. Mine is super busy with a workshop tonight, tomorrow and a crop on Sunday.
I have gone through the same routine with the trimmers! I eventually bought the Fiskars rotary @ Costco when I was making my wedding invites last summer and I LOVE it! I still have a portable oen in case I go to crops, but the Fiskars is now a fixture on my desk :D
Yes, my Skilcraft guillotine cutter is wonderful, always perfect, I've had it for 4 years and no need to sharpen the blade, yet (I'm not into the rotary things, had 2 and gave them away, I don't like to replace the blades).
Here Kitty Kitty! This is an adorable card.

Love the card!! I am scrapping tonight too, can't wait to see your stuff!!
I can tell you for sure NOT to buy the provo craft Zision trimmer...it's neon green and pink, and its horrible. If the blade even "thinks" about dulling it folds the paper and leaves wacky "fibered" edges rather than a clean cut. And the notch for catching the ruler/blade guide is too wide so it slips from side to side while you are trimming. I hate it I tell you, hate it. But I'm a cheapo and havent embarked on your quest yet...lol.
Shrek sounds like a good movie for family... My GKids love shrek.......Enjoy...
Paper trimmers... AARRGGGG! Trying to find one that cuts straight or one that doesn't cut through after conditioning.... I bought a Fiskars trimmer.. Love it but after awhile, it cut through the piece your talking about conditioning... It does flip over and you have to condition it again, 4 sides altogether to rotate. But can I replace the piece when it wears out? I really like this trimmer, cuts straight and the cutting guide flips up so its easier to place the paper... So, if you find a trimmer thats super great, let us know.... Cute card....Hope you have a great weekend.........................Patti
Fabulous card and layout ,Dawnx
good luck with your trimmer search. I still like my huge tonic cutter.
:)

I have a fiskers from costco, I like it really well. I love your card, you are really good at cardmaking!!!
Oh please let me know if that trimmer works for you. My fiskars one isn't giving me straight cuts either - could be that I have had it for years and its just worn out. I have a CM one but I don't really care for it so I have been wanting to get a new one.
