October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Give-a-way for a Cause

This past weekend I had the opportunity to participate in a Scrap Pink event: Cupcakes for a Cure. Our goal was to raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization by inviting women to participate in this fun scrapbooking crop for a small fee. In return, they got to scrap their hearts out and eat yummy food all day long! We had an on-going silent auction, free hand massages from Arbonne to help ease those tired scissor-wielding fingers, tons of give-aways, and more candy than you can shake a stick at! For all of our efforts, we managed to raise $2,232! Now that's not bad for a first annual event. If you'd like to read more about the fun time we had as well as see some pictures, you can go here. The following group photo is definitely my favorite from the day. These ladies (and one gentleman) are beyond terrific, and I love them all!

My contribution to the event was making breast cancer awareness jewelry to sell. Since Breast Cancer Awareness Month is now upon us, I'd like to offer these items here on my blog.
